So George has had periodic white snot and a general snuffly sound. He mainly gets discharge from his left nostril. He has been be treated since Feduary. Oral antibiotic are so so. Nebulizing seems much better for him but after a couple days right back to sounding congested. I decide to do a ct scan and found a bone mass in his right nostril there was no active infection but it is pretty clear there is a bone there. The culture come back Staph and bordetella both of which are pretty common in rabbits noses.
Moreover his lung looked odd according to the CT scan the analysis was potentially pneumonia, abscess or a tumor. However my vet want a second opinion since nothing shows up on xrays and his lungs sound fine and he show no signs of pneumonia. He is super bright and super cheerful just sneezes up white stuff occasionally.
Has anyone had experience with a bone mass in the nose? It is cited as a Incidental hyperostosis of the right incisive bone. Or any advice dealing with a chronic URI?
After searching threads know emkvet had a similar issue.
Good vibes for George are definitely welcome. George has been through a lot already.
