The herbs can be grown inside, but for the other veggies I would make a space outside. I don’t have much gardening experience. We’re trying to grow peppers this spring, hoping they work out (for us, not the bun obviously).

You know that Capsicum (Bell Peppers) is on the safe veg list for buns ?
Also I started a thread a few weeks ago in the lounge called “The Bunny Garden” hopefully to create a place for bunny food growing ideas.

Yeah, I know they can have bell peppers but that’s pretty much the only type we’re NOT growing. We’re growing a variety of jalapenos, poblanos, and banana peppers. We like spice! Lol…

Herbs are super easy to grow, indoors in pots, or outside in the ground. Parsley and cilantro are good. I also like basil because the deer don’t eat it and it’s delicious for me and the bunnies.

Lettuce and spinach are easy to grow and like cooler temps, so you can start them really early (though they typically bolt when it gets really hot).

Decide if you want to start with seeds or baby plants. I don’t start from seed yet, so I buy plants at the garden center. You can directly plant seeds in the ground, especially for lettuce and herbs, but it will take longer than if you start with a plant obviously.

Okay thanks everyone for the tips! I am going to get some bell peper, but keep them AWAY from the other garden, because, the ALWAYS cross, and they end up spicy! I am going to grow Parsely, cilantro, and i will try basil. Do you only buy them in seeds, or can you get them as baby plants? Can you get them at Walmart, Homedepo, or Lowes?????

You can get them as baby plants. My local food store Publix actually sells them in pots already grown to a healthy size. If you want to go the seed route you can pick up some heirloom seeds from online or Lowes or HomeDepot also sells different varieties of seeds.
