So, updates. I have been in the middle of bonding Merlin to Luna, a lovely inquisitive female rescue. Theres been some initial shyness on her part, but last night, we had snuggles people! we had snuggles. I looked under the bed – Merlins favourite spot – to see them loafing side by side, actually touching. Yay!

HOWEVER. Luna was a rescue from a serious case of neglect – one of those terrible cases where they are kept outside and never interacted with. Eventually she was abandoned in her shed, so I knew there would be some problems. Shes very scared of humans, but with quiet bonding time and Merlins calm influence she no longer flinches if me or the partner walk past, and she will come up and sniff our hands if we offer them. Baby steps.

She is also not house trained, at all. The problem is – my relatively well behaved Merlin is starting to backslide! He is now ignoring the litter box and imitating Luna, but worst of all , Luna is a digger. She loves tearing up carpet. I’ve given her diggy boxes but to no avail – the girl likes carpet. Our carpets….. are ruined. Holy butts. Merlin has never shown the slightest bit of interest in carpets till now but I think in an effort to impress Luna he’s started tearing them up too!!

Lol! Yep sounds like he’s showing off. Our cats do that too sometimes. I’ve also noticed Bruno and Harley put their. Evil little bunny minds together and pull off some crazy stunts. Hopefully Merlins good behavior will rub off on Luna eventually
