Gabby had her spay done on Wednesday and I was able to go pick her up this afternoon. She had to spend two nights since she didn’t poop yesterday. I brought her a salad for the ride home but she wouldn’t eat any.

I think she missed being home as when I got her out of the carrier she went around rubbing her chin on everything in sight to mark it as hers again. Her bb order had come in so I gave her the bag that has the pine cones, different hays, toy and edible bag it comes in and she immediately dug in. She was excited to see it. I even saw her eat some lettuce while I was in there.

Before I left the room she came up and ankle bumped me. She hasn’t done that before so maybe now she marked me hers.

Yayyy I’m glad Gabby was able to go home! My bunnies never eat on the car either…I’m pretty sure that in general, they don’t eat unless they’re in a comfortable stress-free place.

Glad to know that about them not eating in the car. I’m used to my guinea pigs eating on the drive to the vet’s office. I’m so glad to have her home. I think her fur around her neck is growing in more now. It makes me think she really is part lionhead.

You will want to keep her in a smallish area for a bit, until she heals. No letting her jump or climb on anything, or running too much until her incision heals.

Sounds like she is definitely glad to be home again, chinning everything! THIS is what i want, not that stuff at the vets! Healing vibes to her as her incision heals, sounds like you are doing a great job with her.

I’m not letting her out of the laundry room and into the living room until she is fully healed. There’s not anything for her to jump up on in there. I went and sat with her for a while and she kept coming up for lovins’. I think she really is glad to be home.

I sat in there again this morning and she was bopping around having fun. I could tell she’s more active than yesterday. Last night I saw her bunny flop for the first time and she did it again this morning.
