Hi, not sure if this belongs in behaviour but need some advice (vets will be called tomorrow) by male bun Fudge is 4 years old, I’ve had him for 18 months or so and health has always been good. He is neutered and living happily with my bunny girl Treacle who is 10 years old.

Since yesterday Fudge has started pulling fur from his stomach – I’m positive it’s his as he is only one with white fur and leaving it in bedding (straw) no diet change, but with colder weather their time in garden has been reduced. The skin isn’t scaley, no broken skin and no obvious signs of mites.

Any ideas? Obviously a check up is a good idea but is there anything I can do to help reduce chances of it reoccurring (he has plenty of toys, in a shed space) he seems to be a bit needier wanting fuss but appetite etc

Is he moulting (rabbits can moult in patches leaving bald spots)? Are you sure he is a neutered male and not a female (fake pregnancy)? If he is a male plucking his fur, its a sign of high stress and depression. Youll want to see a vet asap

Our boy was doing this when he had issues with his teeth. 100% worth the vet visit

Definitely a boy, I was the one who had him neutered. No fur this morning so hopefully it’s a two day thing?

Vets can’t see him till Monday – fur is from his belly as its white and rest is tan. He won’t let me check area so will do it when husband is home. Worried about my boy as its out of character for him. Left him the radio on today while I’m at work.

I am fostering an unneutered male, in separate areas but could this be upsetting him? Foster boy has been with me since September (baby and too small to neuter at the moment)
