French Lop Growth rate/ General growth help

Hey everyone, I’m having a little panic, haha!

When I first got Albus he grew so fast, it seemed like he doubled in size in a week or so.
He’s now 14 weeks old and for the last week or two I’ve been thinking that Albus hasn’t grown much. 
So I finally decided to look it up and I can’t find much info, the only thing I found was someone on another forum who said their bun was 5lb 10oz at this age. 

I had a quick go at weighing Albus (albeit on some questionable kitchen scales, and by sitting him on a box, so I can’t say the weight was right) and it said he weighs about 4 and a half pounds. 
So now suddenly I’m rather concerned!

To me he looks about the size of the mini lops I had when I was younger. His growth has really slowed though, he seems the same as two or even three weeks ago…  Maybe that’s normal? I don’t know! 

Is there a decent way to weigh a rabbit on kitchen scales?
Does anyone know what the growth rate for a frenchie should be?
Do they have growth spurts? 
Should I take him to the vet?

All help greatly appreciated, and sorry for the long post!

I’ve never had a Frenchie so I’m not really sure about that specifically but I know that a lot of bunnies grow in spurts.

I weigh Rufus on the kitchen scales by getting a really big plastic bowl and putting that on the scales, then zeroing them and then putting Rufus in the bowl (he’s not a big fan but it does get the job done!)

Hopefully he’s just taking a break from growing and then he’ll get back on it! Is he eating ok? No sudden drops in food consumption?

No, he eats the same as always, he seems fine in himself… :/

I can’t really help with where he is right now weight-wise, but remember that rabbit weight ranges are just that… ranges. Some are going to be smaller than average, some larger. I wouldn’t worry about it too much right now, he might just end up being on the smaller side (or that other person could be overfeeding her rabbit and he’s larger than he is supposed to be?) As long as he’s not being underfed, and the vet isn’t worried about his weight in relation to his frame, he should be fine!

I spoke to the vet and she said it varies a lot and that some buns do grow in spurts, so I’m hoping that’s the problem.
She isn’t worried about him health-wise.

Could the issue be me feeding him too little pellets?
He has a big bowl in the morning and sometimes more in the evening, along obviously with loads of hay and water.

I thought growing baby buns are suppose to have unlimited pellets?

Well he does more or less, he doesn’t usually finish them you see :/

He’s just eating what he needs so I wouldn’t worry. You can’t force him to eat more.

If it helps, Rufus was the same with his pellets. He never finished them! I thought he was on the small/skinny side and I mentioned it to my vet and he said that the difference between him and all the other bunnies that he sees is that Rufus is just right and almost all the other buns are overweight. He said it was great that he self-regulated and only ate the pellets he needed. I think there’s a lot of bunnies out there on the overweight side!

This is Benny he is 16 weeks / 4 months old, I’m not sure on his breed, do you guys think that he is a French Lop?
