OK for those of you who don’t know me, my wife (Tina) and I are the proud parents of 8 Bunnies. Last month my wife was in an accident in my truck ( no one was hurt TG) and I went to drop it off to finally get it fixed on Tuesday. after taking care of my business Tina & I were getting ready to leave in her truck when something moving in the parking lot caught my eye. SO I told Tina “Hey there is you a stuffed animal.” she looked and said its a cat. I laughed and looked again and saw ears! We went over to find a little beautiful Fawn colored bunny trying to hide behind a parking block. she let me go right up to her and pick her up! My first thought was she escaped outside someones house or a hutch. We went house to house asking in the near by neighbor hood to no avail. and we have had no luck finding her past owner. she is only about 10-12 weeks old. we brought her into our vet today and she is in good health and no parasites!!! I guess it was just fate that we found her. so for now she has been added to the Roy bunch and got named Peanut. here are a couple of pictures of her.

Aww! What a cutie! She is so lucky you found here. My guess is she wasn’t out there for very long.

After a little research, and close examination of her fur which is orange with a beautiful white undercoat, Tina and I agreed that she is most likely a Palamino bunny, which on average grow to aprox 10-12 pounds.

Oh my goodness Bullrider! She is beautiful!!!!! The bf and I saw a domestic bun on the side of the road last week. I tried getting to the little dear but he kept running from me. There are a lot of predators were we live (coyotes, foxes, packs of crows) so we wanted to bring the little guy in. But sadly we couldn’t since it was pitch black. We still keep an eye for the little guy hoping that we may see him. So seeing that you were able to help Peanut really makes me happy. =]

@ Skippers mommy, aww that is so sad. I will keep that bunny in my prayers. ya it seemed really weird I dont know if she was to scared to move or what because there is a LOT of traffic where we found her. I know we have a lot of buns but I couldn’t leaver her there, I think she was there because we were suppose to rescue her.

What a pretty bun! Fun fact: My vet was involved in the process to “found” the Palomino breed. She thought our bunny, Penny, was a Palomino but she didn’t get as large as the average (8lbs instead of 10 -12).

Good on you two for bringing her in. My Monty was an abandoned bunny and we went through all the motions of trying to find any possible owner to no avail. It seems like she has a good home with you two

She’s beautiful! Thanks for rescuing her. Most likely a case of “setting the bunny free”.

9 Bunnies!!!! You are both crazy and awesome!

I can never believe people let their bunnies into the wild – disgusts me!

Wow! She is gorgeous! I am a little late on this So glad you both found and rescued her! I know quite a few people with similar stories like this, they find a small animal in a parking lot, no owner to be found. I have never come across any like that! That is a lot of bunnies to care for, she is so lucky to have you find her ^-^
