Hey everyone, I hope that this is allowed, if not: my pardon and please remove it.

There’s a European citizen’s initiative to ban unnecessary testing of cosmetics on animals. These tests are often repeat tests: cosmetics with ingredients that have already been proven to be safe in other tests.

For something as simple as cosmetic ingredients, there’s no reason to repeat these. These tests are simply unnecessary and a big cause of animal suffering. Suffering of precious rabbits 😥

To bring it to the attention of the European Parliament 1 million signatures are needed. They’re at 500k now, with still 5 months to go. Hopefully more people will sign to join forces against animal cruelty.

Lots of bunnies will thank you!

Thanks for drawing attention to this issue, Ellie. Unless the discussion around this progresses into anything that may breach our forum guidelines (e.g., witch-hunts, debating…), it can stay open.

Oh wow, I thought the EU already had these rules! I’m signing this. Thank you, Ellie!
