Has anyone seen this before? I came across it and thought it was so convenient if you lived near any of the select areas.  http://petairways.com/

It is interesting. They only fly one day a week and to the large city hubs but still, I’m very curious to how long they’ll stay up – they’ve been in business since Nov 2008. Oh, and according to their Blog, Southwest is allowing pets in the main cabin if they’re small enough (i.e. – fit under the seat in front of you). I have noticed though that so many people are intrigued with rabbits, even the flight attendants, that they’ll let you hold the bun as long as it stays partly in the carrier – such as opening the top from the very short carrier. AT least they’ve let me do it twice.

I was curious of that too. I looked at flying with them at one point and I only found that Continental let you take rabbits, but that was a while ago. More airlines need to start allowing rabbits anyway, but now its hard having three how that would work anyway?!

Interesting, though it seems like more of a hassle than just having specific flights that allow pets and their owners. Personally, I would never fly Nova because she is just way to nervous, I think she’d die. Of all of my animals, only my Chihuahua Daisy would really ‘need’ to go someplace with me, and quite frankly, I am paranoid beyond words that someone is going to steal that dog. She is not only very tiny, but when I take her out in public I get tons of complements on her friendly and bubbly personality. Plus I want to make her a movie star anyways, so if that ever happens she will get to fly with me; first class. Haha.

Anyways, I think this airline would be great for getting animals from coast to coast on a more permanent basis, not so much ‘just for vacation’.

That is so cool.   Pet Airways.   I know Delta let buns in the people cabin.  Even in 2 seperate carriers.  I came so close to getting tickets and going to Arkansas when hubby was there.

Glad to knwo we have pet airways.

I heard advertised tickets to new york for 9.00   I think it is just local small airport to ny or nj.  Hubby said hey lets go for the day. theehhee

I don’t like flying but now I suddenly want to be a flight attendant…
The noise and vibrations on flights affect me for days – I cannot imagine how it is for animals – especially rabbits. Thankfully it’s not something you have to do too often.
