I just called the vet and he said she’s out of surgery and waking up just fine. She’s sitting up and looking around, though she’s not nibbling her salad just yet. (Yes, momma packed Miss Flops a lunch.) The doc says she’ll probably be ready to come home around 2-3 this afternoon. I’m so happy her spay went well, I was SO AFRAID she wouldn’t wake up. I fidgeted and checked my phone through both of my classes this morning (I know, bad me) and spent the entirety of my computer lit class reading articles about rabbit spays.

I can’t wait to go pick her up! Poor baby, all alone in a scary strange place. =(

Glad it went well and you did the right thing. I packed Momo a lunch too for after her spay. Vet Tech said she picked at it some, but it is not uncommon for them to not be in the mood for a meal right away. By that night she was tearing through her hay as usual. Just make sure to keep her confined and relaxed for the better part of a week. No matter how pent up and she acts. It can be harder then you think.

I’m so glad! I was scared when Chacha went in for her spay. I called the vets office constantly LOL

Well, we just brought her home. Right now she’s huddled up in her blue plastic hut, not doing anything. I feel so bad for her, she seems so miserable. I put out a salad and pellets and plenty of water, and there’s hay in her litterbox. I guess she’ll get to it when she feels a little better. Poor little bun.
Anyway, I’ll be spending the remainder of the afternoon downstairs monitoring her, and I might haul some blankets down from the bedroom and sleep next to her condo. I’m afraid if I leave her alone for a second she’ll do something to pull her stitches out. =(

She should be fine. And they heal quick. Did the vet send home some pain killers?

He didn’t send anything home, but he gave her an injection that’s supposed to last 72 hours.

Yay so good to hear everything went well. I know I’m gonna be a wreck when I take mine in to get fixed. I’ll probably need a few binky members to hold my hand lol

Glad to hear it went well. And I know how awful they make you feel when you bring them home. She will slowly come around. Lots of monitoring and nose pats!
