Okay guys yesterday I ended up picking up a male rabbit after seeing him at my local pet store for only $10. He is missing two paws and I knew he would end up going to some kid who would neglect him so I bought him. He was horribly matted but after some brushing I learned he was the sweetest little guy, but also quite a bit underweight. I gave him a temporary enclosure in my quarantine cage and offered him some oxbow pellets, hay, and veggies. Initially he ignored everything but the hay but has since tried the veggies and seemed to love them, but doesn’t seem to be interested in the pellets. Anyway, I already have a male rabbit who is currently unnuetered but I had plans to nueter him in the near future. But I’m getting off track, I built a giant c and c cage yesterday with plans to bond the two eventually so they could share it. It’s 82 1/2 inches by 28 inches, has a lot of toys and stuff to do but finding reasonably priced fleece has been a struggle. Is there any cheaper options to fleece? Or any places that sell fleece fairly cheap? Recently had a bit of vet bills which put me a little short on money.

If you have a Walmart near you, they sell small fleece blankets for $2.50. They’re not huge but I use two in my 96″x48″ pen and they work perfectly. At $5 to cover the whole pen, I was able to afford back up blankets. Also check your local thrift/consignment/secondhand stores. My mom got me a giant queen sized fleece blanket for $10.

That’s the link (they have a ton of other colors in store. I have a unicorn/rainbow print one and two leopard print ones).

Poor thing, I would love to see a pic of him!

You can go to Joann’s or Walmart and get fleece cut for you, you can pick cheap fleece and have it cut to whatever length you need and Joanns always has sales so it makes it even cheaper.

Aw, poor little guy. Sounds like you’re really giving him everything he needs!

I would also suggest going to a fabric store (is that what Joann’s is?) It would probably work out cheaper than buying blankets specifically.

Even old towels or sheets could work if you have any around.

              Have you named him yet?

Joann fabrics is in the states, it’s great to get fleece on sale as they can have it like $4 a yard, which is a steal

Joann’s also usually has fleece remnants for dirt cheap. They sell it discounted if it is the end of a roll, or if someone decides they don’t want it

I’ve decided to name him Toby, I switched Peanut over to fleece and the lil ass decided that he’d mark all over it because new territory and being unnuetred and all so I switched him over to bedding so I could scoop his mid haps but since switching he has decided that marking is over rated(of course).

They are so cute!!! Peanut must have really liked the fleece. I would have switched to bedding to at least til he gets fixed or you would end up doing a lot of laundry lol. I can see why you fell in love with Toby, poor little guy will get to have a good life now. Sending good vibes and hopes that everything goes well.
