  Hello, I’m a first time bunny mommy and I’m really excited to care for my baby bunnies. I wanted to care for bunnies because they look adorable and I wanted to have my own pet. I’m a librarian, I like to write stories on my free time, I also like to draw and making small craft materials is one of my hobbies.
  
  My rabbit is named Peanut and she is an English angora. She was born on Feb 24, 2015. She is not yet spayed because she is still young. I have her for about two weeks now; I noticed that she is sweet, but still scared when other people approach her except for me. She is a little bit of a naughty bunny because she would try to jump everywhere and I think I almost had a heart attack when she does this. I don’t have her in a cage I prefer a pen so she can have more room.
  
  Hope I’ll be a good mommy for her and I’m also trying to get her brother, but it’s a little hard because the person who has him is on vacation. That’s all for now.

  If you haven’t had bunnies before it might be best to stick with just the one for now. You do realise that they won’t be able to live together if you get another, don’t you?

  But yes, until they are fixed they would need to be housed separately.

  Thank you for the warm welcome. The reason why I want a partner bunny is because I don’t want my bunny to be lonely when I need to go to work. I planned to house them in separate pens with a see through window until they get spayed and neutered. I plan to use one room so they can get used to their smell, but I’m going to make sure they can see each other without physical contact.
  
  I’m surprised with her because I’ve read that bunnies do not like to be picked up, but my bunny doesn’t squirm if I pick her up to brush her and to check if she is healthy. If someone else picks her up she panics. Is this going to be a problem? I think she is getting way attached to me?

  bunnies will tolerate being picked up better when they’re young, but they grow out of that supposedly happy that you’ve brought a bunny into your family, it’ll never be a dull moment that’s for sure!
