My bunnies are put out usually by 930am into their run for the day and come in by about 7/8pm…
They have hay racks in the run and will get veggies when theyre old enough. They also have unlimited hay in their hutch. I usually feed them once they go in for the night into their hutch. Is this ok? As dont really want food lying about in their run incase any unwanted friends appear

I just wanted to check it was ok to give them their food at night instead of in the morning.

I noticed they dont seem to like eating the hay out the hayrack thats built into my hutch…have just got fresh hay today so will see if that changes in the morning but also wondered if this was because theyre getting their food late and are ‘full’

        Thanks in advance

As long as they have hay at all times, that’s fine. I personally prefer to feed in morning and night so they’re not quite so hungy/lots of food to take in at nightz but that’s just me and it’s a-okay.

Agree with this! I do the same, split the food into two meals, morning and night. Do they get veggies too? You could give veggies in the morning and their usual pellets in the evening?

Of course it’s okay I feed my bunnies their pellets in the morning, veggies in the evening and then foraging things (dandelion, plantain etc) sporadically throughout the day. They do eat plenty of hay tho.

You could try offering hay in a different way. Mine never cared for hay racks. Or even a different type of hay?

Phew glad its ok. My bunnies are only 10 week old. Ive given them some greens but not much as im aware theyre still young. But id hate to think theyre hungry. Their poops etc are fine. But im not going to give them anynore and gonna only put small amount of hay and see if it goes down any. Ive just changed hay got some from pet shop they didnt look at it so got some from my local equine shop that sells other feeds etc so will try them with that. Next stop timothy hay if they dont eat that x

As long as they have hay available at all times when they are out in their run during the day, it is fine if you’re feeding the pellets only at night.
