when i dropped by the farm where i buy timothy hay bales the whole mennonite family was all packed up in their horse & buggy ready to leave.  oops.  since they’re mennonite they don’t have a phone so i can’t call ahead.  it was a little awkward since the horses started to shimmey when they heard my car and the whole family sat & stared at me while their brother got me a bale.  lol.  BUT it’s worth it for $5 / bale and now i have hay for the next half a year

where do you buy your pellets?  i get mine a bulk barn.  my local petcetera had a ‘store closing’ sign on it advertising 40-70% off stock so i went in to see what they had left.   their rabbit pellets were 3 times more expensive than bulk barn even after the discount!

Pellets can go bad after 2-3 months of being opened.  I buy mine at pet store.  Timmy pellets. For adult bunnies.

they hay deal sounds real good there.

Maybe you can just ask them when they prefer you to come out or something. I imagine it was a bit awkward, but worth it.

Pellets normally last me a good long while so I just order on-line as needed.

LMAO!!! Sorry Christine, but it just sounds funny from your description! I am not sure if there is farm hay etiquette…. but at least you only have to see them every 6 months!

I understand pellets can be frozen.
You could keep some in an airtight container & some in the freezer?
