Hi guys, I found a couple of extra cecals this morning plus one last week and I’m just wondering if a few here and there is normal? I don’t usually ever see them, only when the buns were much, much younger. I don’t know which bun they belonged too and neither were interested in eating them when I presented them with them

I think the odd one here and there is probably normal. Maybe sometimes they just accidentally drop them, then don’t want them once they’ve been on the floor?

Your’s aren’t getting any veg at the moment right? And they don’t get many pellets, so I can’t see how it could be a too rich diet.

Correct, no veggies at the moment and small amount of pellets Yeah I didn’t think it could be a too rich diet thing. They only get one treat per day which is a piece of dried chicory root. And forage. They are loving their forage by the way – blackcurrant leaves, nettle, echinacea, sunflower petals, mallow & cornflower. Oh and marigold as Peanut has decided he likes that now  They get one forage type per day

I think as long as it doesn’t turn into a consistent problem, it’s not something to worry about. Luna occasionally has excess cecals still, but I do suspect my boyfriend overfeeds her treats at times

I also think it’s fine, so long as you aren’t finding lots of them! I’m surprised I haven’t seen any extras from Ophelia ever. Sometimes I get a little too carried away and I want to give her all the things lol.

I found another 2 during the night. I stepped in one   I’m wondering if it’s the marigold so I’m going to leave it out and see what happens.
