Toby has been pooping normally all day but since about an hour ago he wont stop pooping cecotropes!! He is too young to eat anything other than pellets and hay so what could I do? I feed him Oxbow Young Rabbit Food a few times a day and unlimited timothy hay. He always goes crazy for the pellets. Should I do less pellets?

You could try cutting back on the pellets first and see if it improves. Toby is growing day by day after all and his diet should be tweaked depending on the circumstances.

Thank you! He is now acting very weird. Being aggressive and biting our clothes. He seems very hungry but I’m refraining from giving pellets. I’m kind of concerned he’s still pooping a lot of cecotropes

At 2 months old, it’s normal to be producing a good amount of cecals that he won’t eat. It’s mainly a big concern when they’re older (over 6 months) because it’s due to a rich diet. If you’re feeding him unlimited pellets, you can try to cut back and do two 1/4 cup servings twelve hours apart. Also, he’s probably biting and being aggressive because hormones are probably starting to kick in now that he’s at the 2 month mark. One of my boys became hormonal at 7 week and the other at 11 weeks.

Ah i see. Thank you so much! I think Toby may be a girl though..I took him to the vet at 4 weeks and it was too soon to tell so I’m taking him to the vet soon so they can finally gender him/her. The breeder had told me it’s a boy when I got him which I don’t even know how she would know since he was only 2 weeks old. If it’s a girl, will hormones also explain the aggressiveness or is it something else? Also, (update) his poop has returned to normal after feeding him a lot of hay and taking away the pellets

Even now, it’s still a little early to tell what his sex is for sure unless his testicles have dropped. Some males can drop early around 2 months, and others, like Wick, drop late. Males develop hormones earlier than boys, from my understanding, but girls do tend to be the more aggressive/territorial ones. Boys still can be, but I’ve heard of that more with the girls. If Toby does turn out to be a boy, you can neuter him as early as 4 months (assuming he’s dropped), and if he turns out to be a girl, most vets won’t spay until 6 months.

Reppin’ the 8-month drop. Monumental and hilarious to witness Wick adjust himself to the dangling weight.

I love it, please do. I’ll be the go-to for late bloomers, URIs, ringworm, medication administration, and molar grindings, haha.

Let’s not forget that Wick is also probably the best behaved non-wire-chewing bunny ever. He should have a gold star

And she gets extra points for her pristine litter habits…

We can’t blame Bombur tho, he can’t help it Peanut on the other hand is just a little terror at times  Although *touch wood* he hasn’t peed outside his litter box in like a month. A MONTH

hahahaha Before we knew anything was wrong with Bombur, and he spent his first night in the new cage, Asriel had been fine and miraculously learned that if he peed he’d be sitting in it. Bombur hadn’t learned that at the time. So we woke up and saw that and said so many praises to Az, and John looks over at Bombur goes “aww little man… you tried. that’s what counts” xD

Although Toby isnt really litter trained he pees in the litter box 90% of the time! Which is pretty good for not being neutered/spayed. He’s still pooping everywhere though. He likes to climb on my bed when im not looking at take a poo break -.- but im taking him to finally get gendered this saturday and neuter/spay as soon as he’s old enough
