  This is probably the dumbest thing ever posted on this forum, but here goes…
  
  I LOVE using essential oils in a diffuser in my room. However, since I got my little guy, I have been worried to use it again. While the oils are substantially diluted in water before being diffused and the aroma is on the entire other side of the apartment (about 15 feet away,) I still am a bit paranoid. Most every one of the oils I use have minimal ingredients and are natural, mostly just floral oils. It’s hard to even smell that far away. Will it hurt my bunny if I use these? Have any of you tried this in the past?

  It’s good that you ask! Rabbits have a very sensitive nose and respiratory system. My bun Breintje often starts to sneeze when I’m cooking spicy food, so I keep a window open for him and the ventilation on max setting. They’re extremely sensitive to smoke, incense, perfumes and essential oils. It can irritate or harm their airways and make them more susceptible to airway illnesses. An example: the essential oils in pine shavings (sometimes wrongly used as litter) are notorious for giving a rabbit breathing issues.
