When I adopted Enki I was told he was netuered and the shelter was told he was neutered. BUT while grooming him this Thursday he is definitely not neutered. No wonder he has been extra grumpy and humpy lately!
But unfortunately he is unable to be neutered due to him being sick. I have to wait until he is symptom free for the vet to agree to neuter him. Which I hope is very soon. He is slowly losing his litter box habits.
Banji on the other hand is getting neutered Monday morning! A little nervous about this. Since he has an estimated 15-20% of his vision he gets very scared when taken to new places and he gets very scared at the vet. Dini will be going along with him for the day since he keeps him calm in new places.
And my neighbor has gotten a black lionhead which is making me miss Pacey and having a lionhead around.
Didn’t this happen with Dini? He got fixed but then later you found another testicle?!!
Crazy. Disappointing also that you were given incorrect info. I suppose the shelter might have unaware. Just took previous owners word for it perhaps. Do they have a policy to get all animals fixed with their vet before adoption?
Do you plan to let them know?

With Dini it was a missed testicle. With Enki he was straight up not neutered.
They do have a policy I am not sure how he slipped through.
I let them know right after the visit. They said as soon as he is well enough to be neutered it will be free of charge if I have it done by their vet.
That sucks about Enki.
Best Wishes for a ((((Quick Recovery for Banji))))). So nice of Dini to go along to keep him company.
The pic of Dini in your sig made me laugh. Such an adorable, super grumpy face! He’s so cute!
I wish I could get Mr Humpy neutered now. But have to wait until he is all better.
Banji doesn’t like being alone in strange places and Enki is too busy humping things lol so I figured Dini would be the best to go with him.
Dini has a permanent grumpy face it’s hilarious. He will be so excited but still look upset.
I love his face!!!!! ![]()
Hi Sonn
How’d Banji go with the neuter?
Forgot to update this.
Banji’s neuter went very well. Other than being a little groggy for a few hours it was like he didn’t even notice. He didn’t give me the bunny butt or anything. Dini on the other hand was very upset that he had to spend the day at the vets office. Even though he got treats and didn’t have to have surgery he still gave me the butt the rest of the evening.
Now if only I could have Enki neutered. He chased my cat Popcorn around the house last night trying to mount him. Lol. And my cat is a ginormous 20lb monster. And Enki is a 4lb squirt.
Aw good to hear all went well.
: )
Some (((vibes))) for Enki. Hopefully he’ll be all set for his big op soon.
I am not sure what is going on with Enki. First I was told he had Pasteurella and they were treating him for that. But now after the second culture he tested negative for Pasteurella but positive for 3 different bacterial infections (I will have to get the vet to repeat what they were) and he will be starting a new medication on Monday.
The second culture being done after a course of antibiotics might indicate one of them was successful and getting the pasteurella species under control. Enough to get a negative culture for it. Maybe it’s one of these other opportunistic bugs still causing symptoms?
I wonder if vet could do a sinus flush under anaesthetic then follow with the neuter?
I have no idea what it is. She explained it to me but a long 3-4 hour drive seems to have caused memory loss. Lol.
I will ask about the sinus flush. I would really REALLY like for him to be neutered.

Is that safe to have him do that right before anesthetic and surgery? I’ve heard of it being done afterwards.
Sorry to hear Enki is having such troubles, Sonn…will keep you in my thoughts and hope things can be worked out for him.
MM, I have no clue if safe. :/
Just thought be nice to do 2 things at once but it would mean a bun being under longer. So that increases risk I guess.
Just want to offer some (((((Healing Vibes for Enki)))))))
Enki is now on an antibiotic called Mibrofloxacin for 28 days I have a print out of his culture results but no idea what they mean and the vet wasn’t available to discuss it today. Hopefully these antibiotics work.
Sounds like a baytril (enrofloxacin) derivative. Fingers crossed that it works out for him! xx
Poor Enki! ((((((Healing Vibes)))))) that it works and he can get fixed. I know how batty nonfixed buns can drive you.
