So I hae been sick all week and was bored so i was looking through older threads and I found this one : https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/aft/110010/Default.aspx

A thread on how to make your own carefresh! So I looked through the thread and made some! ( note: I didn’t use soap or baking soda, only water)

But i didn’t know how much to oomake because I don’t know how much carefresh you need in each box. with wood stove pellets you only need to cover the surface but i haven’t ever used any other kind of litter. How much do you need? like and inch thick? more? less?

here are some pics I took. they still have to dry for about 2-3 days though.

^  this is how much I have right now.

(I covered the pan/litterboxes in plastic then I put my litter box screens on top of the plastic.)

        ^ up close pic.

BTW: I am not going to switch litter and use this, It took me two hours just to make that much!

does any one know if i made enough for one litter box?

I think that’s probably just enough for one, or at least close to it.

I used a little more. Miss squishy butt liked her butt nice n soft.

I use wood stove pellets and I use pretty little since it goes a long way

I never used very much Carefresh for Peppy, since she would push it all to the back anyways…she likes having hte center of the litter box empty, so I just filled the back. Silly bunny. Remi got a good 2 inches in the box, though.

I’m really impressed that you actually did that.

It looks like about 2 litter pan uses to me. (Kind of like those squishy seat covers for human, uh, commodes. The real work is being done by litter below the screen. The homemade carefresh is strictly for the comfort of a bunny butt and feeties.)
