        Hello all!

I was grooming Snow, my E.C. bun a few days ago and realized that her left ear had ear way protruding from it.

She can’t move her left leg well, so I’m sure she has trouble cleaning it.

I was able to easily remove about 3/4 of an inch long piece of earwax. I bought an ear light to get a better look and I can see a lot more down there, is this cause for concern?

Last month she finished her treatment for fur mites, could this be a residual buildup for her body fighting the mites?

        Thanks!

I would take her to a vet to get her ears cleaned and have them look and see if there is still evidence of mite activity in the ears. I also try to keep my EC bunny’s ears clean, and tlast night I realized that I couldn’t tell the wax from the mite scabs that I’m used to seeing on the outside of his ears. I have an otoscope – but it’s hard getting him to sit still. I’ve watched youtube videos on how to clean a bunny’s ears. But it’s difficult when I can’t get a clear view. I think a 3/4 inch piece is craaaaaaazy long. I’d definitely take Snow to get her ears done, then ask the vet to show you how, so you can incorporate it as part of yoru regular grooming routine. It’s easier to start with a clean ear – then a crazy waxy ear.
