        Hi All,

My rabbit today went for blood tests to see why he keeps fitting, my vet reckons it could be linked to E-cunicli, which she said if it is they will give me a 28 day of panacur, but with this I have also read that pancuar is also bad on a rabbit if used for a long amount of time due to thinning of the Bone maro in a rabbits body.

I’m unsure when i will receive the test results but it should be soon.

Any advice on this would be great

I’m sorry your bun has suspected e cuniculi. Panacur (fenbendazole) is a mild treatment though, very few buns get the bone marrow issues you mention. It’s a rare side effect. Panacur is the most common choice for treatment of e cuniculi, so it’s very widely used all over the world. It’s often combined with Baytril (enrofloxacine) and an anti-inflammatory painkiller (Metacam, meloxicam). Several of our members have used Panacur for suspected or confirmed e cuniculi.
