  Has anyone used the hay series from Foster and Smith? I bought the western timothy hay the 128 oz one which were compassed bales. I thought I would try something cheaper. It is good hay but very short stalks. Frodo made a mess when i put it in his hay box. Even the second batch is very messy.
  
  There are hay bits all over his pen and it never gets that messy over the week. Has anyone had any experience with this? I like the hay but its messy and Frodo Baggins doesn’t eat all of it because it ends up in his litter box. (I have the only rabbit that won’t eat hay in his box).
  
  I will finish this batch but I am thinking of trying the oxbow 25 pound timothy hay next. It’s 50 bucks but considering that 8 pounds was 14-15 bucks, I think its worth the price. Anyone have any experience with this? I assume it is baled but I don’t know for sure. Im kinda hoping it comes in bags lol. I have the space in the pantry so either way it will work.

  I’ve tried the Drs. Foster and Smith brand hay twice, but I didn’t care for it that much. Mine was also very short pieces and it didn’t seem to be as fragrant as I like. I do buy almost all of my hay from their website, but I get a few varieties of Oxbow and I also get American Pet Diner Timothy Gold. I’ve never bought the large size Oxbow, so I don’t know if that would be bagged or not. You can call them. I’ve called a couple of times with a question and they were helpful.
