So I just recently got a bunny and have been having a lot of “new bunny mom stress”. One of my main worries is that my bunny is drinking an excessive amount of water. It appears that she has drunk approximately 2 cups of water in a 24h period. Is this too much?? I’m giving her a handful of veggies in the morning that aren’t wet, and she’s been eating lots and lots of hay. She seems perfectly fine; She flops all of the time, I saw her binky this morning and her poops look normal. She just tends to eat a bunch of hay, go drink somebody water and then eat a bunch of hay again. Maybe I’m over exaggerating but I just want to be sure she’s alright!!

If her pee is clear or she’s generally peeing more than normal, then her water intake is probably excessive. It won’t kill her, but it means there may be something causing that water consumption, like temperature or mouth discomfort.

Thanks!!! Turns out… she was pregnant. I just discovered her litter a few minutes ago. I’ve only had her for 4 days so this is quite a shock… should I create another thread for my questions about that???

Yes. Definitely do. Read up as well on the responsibilities accompanied with this.

Called the vet for advice and have been rapidly reading all threads on accidental litters I can find. Still have a few questions that I’ll ask though thank you
