Drink and pee too much and poops get a lot bigger after neuter

  I have a question about poops after neuteing. Chao-Guay got neutered last Tuesday (7/10), and it was scary experience for me. However, he got back to himself the next day. He eats, drinks, poops, and peeps like a champ! One thing I noticed…his poops get a lot bigger. His poops are normally black, formed, and good size before the neutered. But now they are huge! They looks a like wild bunnies poops. (I have a lot of wild bunnies in the yard and I see their poops all the time.) So, I am curious if this is normal. I read about Mega-Colon poops and make me nervous. Thanks.

  Have you noticed him eating more hay? Or more of the stalky parts?
  When they eat more hay or other fibrous food, the poops gets lighter and bigger. They also tend to drink more water when consuming more hay.

  Ok. I checked with the vet and she said no concern about the poops. But drinking too much and peeing too much are concerning. Bunny should drink 1 oz per lb per day. So, Chao-Guys should drink only 6 oz daily. But so far he drink 8 oz already in 12 hours.
