        Hi all,

Recently, Luna has stopped eating celery. She always used to love it. She’s still eating hay and pooping normally, and eating other veg, but she seems to have decided she doesn’t like celery anymore. Should I be worried? Do bunny’s tastes change? Maybe winter celery isn’t as tasty as summer celery?

        Thanks!

As long as Luna is still eating everything else well, I don’t think you have any cause to worry. A rabbit’s tastes can definitely change. Hold off on the celery for a while and try it for her later to see if she might once again enjoy eating it.

Thanks Toby, I figured it was probably ok but wanted to double check!

She might have just gotten a bit bored of it. Bunnies can be very particular! Mine loved sunflower petals, they had them every night as a treat. I stocked up and then of course they decided they’d had enough…

Rabbits can get “bored” with a certain green they’ve had a lot of. They are also seasonal eaters and some greens are only accepted in spring or fall and so on. As a rule they go back to eating the green in Q after not getting it for a while.

I guess she is just bored then

I actually have some sunflowers and was wondering if I could feed them the petals, so that can be their treat this evening!
