Does anyone have a PS3?

We just bought a PS3 last weekend. I am familiar with all the PS2 games, Wii games, DSi games etc that are available, but have no idea what games are good to get on PS3!

 

Does anyone have a PS3? if you do, what games do you like playing? I had a choice of Grand theft auto and Mini Ninjas that came free with the unit, and chose mini ninjas, but its kinda repetitive…

 

What games would you guys recomend?!

Exciting, as from another post I am looking to see if I should get a PS3, My friend has a PS3 and I have played a couple games on it. I liked Little big world…

EDIT: Yes I ment little big planet, I don’t know why I always call it little big world.

Little big Planet? I have been watching all the reviews and screenplays of that game and it looks AWESOME but I havent played it yet!

I have a PS3 and I work for GameStop. I can recommend titles for you if you can tell me what kind of games you’re into… what were some of your favorites on PS2?

thanks so much dig Me now! I loved tony hawks but I have been playing it too much lately! I love platform games like crash bandicoot (though not so much the newer ones), Mario, sonic, (I know, from nintendo!!!) Used to love quake, but am scared of the new one!
Love kameo on the Xbox! Ummmm just platform games and stuff I guess

I do! We only have Little Big Planet. It is actually my dad’s system. He bought it as a blu ray player. My mom is looking forward to getting Bayonetta (I don’t think I spelled that right). I do want Mini Ninjas, but I’ll probably buy it for the x-box.

Kafrn – yeah there are not a whole lot of platformers around anymore. Little Big Planet is fun for platforming even if you don’t make your own levels or anything. It’s pretty innovative. If you do make your own levels, it will eat your life! Hahaha ;]

We JUST bought one. We had xbox 360 and Metal Gear Solid is only out on PS3 (it’s coming-a diff one for xbox) so we bought the ps3 for that game. We also bought little big planet-which is waaaay fun

Little Big Planet is Game of the Year-and kind of Mario ish…and Metal Gear-well if you’ve done PS before you know it’s an AMAZING GAME!! lol

PS3 has ALWAYS had the best system out of the three (nintendo and xbox) but failed in the game category-they just don’t allow enough games to be made with them

My hubby is an xbox guy. He refuses to buy ANYTHING sony, so i doubt we’ll ever get a PS3.

We don’t have a PS3 (own an Xbox instead) but hubby knows a lot about video games and chooses to share his knowledge with me I would absolutely recommend Grand Theft Auto. The whole series is fantastic! Little Big Plant has received amazing reviews. God of War 2 is supposed to be very good, but it’s more of a ‘guys’ game’ if you know what I mean – not necessarily a great game, but men seem to love it ; hubby loved the original God of War for PS2. The Rock Band series is always good too. Some day we’ll get a PS3, but for now that list of exclusive games just isn’t compelling. There are so many you can get for both PS3 and Xbox that it kind of limits you to buying only one system or the other.

LITTLE BIG PLANET!!!!!!!!! Sorry lol, I love that game so much! We also download alot of games on it as well. (Try magic ball, very addicting, or pixel junk eden, very relaxing).

I can’t wait until God of War 3 comes out!

Also I’m counting the days until Super Mario Bros Wii comes out for the Wii. I LOVE mario games.

Plus BluRay is awesome! PS3 + Netflix = happy Hooty! Plus they just fixed Netflix where you can stream to the PS3 instantly, although I doubt it would be blueray quality…

The new Assassin’s Creed is coming out soon, too….

I worked for EB games/Gamestop for years! So i have ALOT of video games.

I love little big planet and depending on the types of games you like there are alot.

I really like Fallout 3, it’s a creepy look of what the future was to people in the 50’s after radation took over! lots of mutants to shoot!
If that is your style you would also really like Bioshock.

If not there are lots of Racing titles.

My best friend sarah works for Bioware and they just released Dragon Age which is a really cool RPG.

If you go to a Store specifically like Gamestop/EB games (in canada it usually goes by EB) and tell them the styles you like they can show you titles that would be to your taste.

I played more mini ninjas last night – starting to get into it now! The guy at EB games was recommending I get this shootout where people just explode into tiny pieces everywhere… I havent played a game like that for YEARS! I dont know if I am still into it! lol. I might buy one on the way home tonight and see…

mmmmmm Dragon Age. I must say tho, for Dragon Age, its better on a PC. My hubby got the xbox versiona dn I got the PC version, controls are sooo much better on PC.

Oh I wanted to play Bioshock so badly, but first person shooters make me nauseous. Never been car sick, sea sick, plane sick or any other type of motion sick in my life… Put me in front of a first person shooter and I wanna die!
I watched my boyf play though, and it was fab.

Got Little Big Planet last night! Havent played it yet because my 5 year old kicked me off the machine haha she loved it!

omg you’re gonna love little big planet. we first saw it at a music festival where they had a big ps3 truck set up to advertise and let you play with them. for the 3 days we were there we spent at least 30/45 minutes each day playing little big planet cause it was so awesome. i want to get a ps3 so badly, if nothing else for that game.
