I have a really wierd habbit of unintentionally making up nicknames for my pets. DON’T JUDGE the nicknames are really strange and don’t even relate to their actual names lol ;P
The first rabbit I had I started calling bunnyfriend and then I started calling him ladybird once in a while because he had these huge brown eyes with lots of long, dark lashes. Now I realized I have just started calling Wilbur mogwai when she does something “evil” because a friend joked about how Wilbur reminded her of that gremlin movie (apparently the gremlin’s name was mogwai?) when she runs around crazy causing mischief. Ahhhhh I have no life![]()

Both DH and I make up tons of nicknames – DH is worse than me. I usually call Otto – Baby Bear, Baby Bear-face, Baby Bun, Mr Buddy, Little Bud, or Otter.
Hannah usually gets – The Mer (her original name was Merlin), Mersical, Handa, Hannah Banana, Miss Banana.
Collectively they are the munchkins, baby buns, fuzz butts, or bunny wunnies.
I call Lolli – sweetheart, punkin, punkin pie, spikey butt (when she’s molting), cheeky girl, stinker
Slowly but surely they are acquiring nicknames (our dogs have tons!). Tillie is Tillie McNillie, Til Til, Sassafras and Matilda when she is in “trouble”. Toby is Mr. Toby, The Tobester, Tobias and loverboy.
Koucha is my rabbit’s original given name.
She is called: Chacha bun, Koucha-pin (A nickname from my dad – he got it from ‘pin’ the shot
I don’t know LOL! But it is a cute name!), Brat, Chubby McFluffy bun, Cutie mccutie pants, Lovely pretty, THE QUEEN…
I just call Leopold a little turd when he’s in trouble. My husband calls Mr Wooly “Sweaters”. That’s about it. We have tons of weird names for the dog though.
Oliver gets ollie, olliewollie, booboo, B bunny boy, criminal (he’s very sneaky), spaz (doesn’t like to be held very long)
Meg gets meggy, meggy boo, stubby (short little legs), squeeky (she sqeeks when I love on her)
buns, bunners, furballs, rugrats, baby bunnies (even though oliver turned 10 today!)
I forgot about how I call them Cactus Butt when they’re shedding.
Powder is Pow-pow, binkybun, boyfriend calls him pet monster because he’s always after pets. Stickers I usually just call my little girl, though occasionally she’ll get called her highness
The Gremlin in the movie was named Gizmo, but he was a mogwai (it was the species) ![]()
Lets see Cinnabun gets called
Stinky
Stinker
Squishy <— hamster reference (see hammie below)
Spaz
Booger
Hammie .<
Sugar
thats all I can think of off the top of my head though I am sure there are more
Yes, nicknames! Rosy gets anything even related to her name: Rosibelle(her full name), Rose Rose, Rosalee, Rosary, Rosenstein, the Rosenator, and of course Princess
Little Bunny Bugga Boo, or just Bugga Boo for short
Don’t ask me how I came up with it or whether or not the diva likes it. I have no clue of either.
Oh yes. Of course all the normal ones (baby, sweetie, brat, snot, etc)
and then Tank is also Tankford and I call Caboose Train Butt sometimes xD
Cheddar – Cheddy bear, Cheddy, Big belly boy
Pepperoni – Poopy, Poopsicle, Pooperoni,
Meatball – Meaty, Little sir (don’t ask because I don’t know why)
I forgot about Lolligirl, baby girl, grumpy girl, Her Higness, grumpy butt
Arthur gets: brat, bunnybunnybunny, silly bunny. And if he’s in trouble: Arthur Jones (b.c. it sounds like Martha Jones from Dr. Who).
Haha. I love the nicknames.
Romeo is rowrow, bunny, oh-me-row, funny boy, bad boy, but mostly just Romeo.
Tigerlily is tietie, lily (when she’s sweet), tiger (when she’s mean), lee-lee-grr-tie, good girl. Usually tietie. ![]()

All of my pets get nicknames. We used to have a cat named Sonic who went by Hamburger or just Burger. It had something to do with the ‘I can has cheezeburger’ thing. Our dog Zeke has an endless list of nicknames and it is every growing.
My names for Momo include: Mo, bink, twitch, and brat-bit. My husband calls her fun-bun on occasion.
Gabby has plumped up quite a bit since coming to live with us back in March. I usually call her Fatty Patty when she tries to sneak the dog food kibble. She’s taught Thumper it tastes good too. I have to watch them like a hawk when the dogs are eating. I also call her Gabby Loo or Gabs.
Thumper is my little Thumper Doo or Thump Thump.
We have 2 nicknames. When he jumps out of his litterbox too soon he is the ‘poopie monster’ and when he runs around the room as fast as he can we call him ‘doodlebug’.
Bunny: Bunbun, Bunners, Miss Buns, Baby Buns…not too weird for her.
Jack: Jackjack, Jacky, Jackers, and the weird one…. Yak. xD
Another one I forgot: I call them my “Sugar Monsters”. They are all so treat crazy!
