Discharge from where?  And what color and texture is it?  Does it smell?

everyday i pick off medusa’s sleepy dust around her eyes. it should only be a problem if its excessive, like if her face is all wet under the eyes.

A tiny bit of tear type stuff is normal as that is what creates the "sleepies or crusties"   but if it makes the fur around the eye wet, or it drips down into sort of a line formation down the cheek, or one eye is watering more than the other, then there are a whole bunch of expanations.  From teeth problems, infection to tear duct problems.

Has this always been this way, or have you been noticing something different lately?

is there any sign of the fur thinning or being effected by the discharge?

to reiterate what binkybunny said – a lil bit can be normal, but what would be concerning if it’s making the area near Cookie’s eye wet or dripping tears then it’s time to go to the vet.

My girl had some discharge from her eye, she had gottena  clogged tear duct, and so I got some eye wash (bausch and lombe plain eye wash) from the drug store, and put a couple drops in her eye, and she actually seemed to appreciate the cleaning! Thats a good thing to keep in mind if your bun starts having any more discharge than normal.
