        hello,

i got this rabbit a few days ago, and i’ve been noticing how dirty it’s paws are because of its pee. i’ve tried to clean it but it HATES it when i try to lift it or it’s paws up. is there any advice on how to clean it or if this level of dirtiness is okay (i read online that it usually goes away on its own but i’m so scared of it matting or attracting flies or burning skin) It lets me clean the butt area so ive been combing that through to avoid matting but the paw area is so hard to clean please help!!
I added a photo of its paws (i got it while it flopped to its side 😭)

To attract flies and burn skin, it would need to be significantly worse than that. Its clear this is pretty surface-level, on the fur only staining, so I would not worry about those things at this point.

Things you can do is make sure you are cleaning the litterboxes regularly and your rabbit has plenty of space so he/she is not spending all their time in a dirty litter box.

I think it’s fine to just leave it as is. Your rabbit will clean it off eventually, and if it is staining, it’s not really something you can truly “wash” out anyways. Stained stuff is not necessarily “dirty” — it’s just stained.

The stained fur will fall out eventually and his feet will be nice and clean. 🙂

Yep, once they are removed from the environment that caused the staining, the problem eventually resolves itself one its own when the fur grows out.

Awww, what a gorgeous bun! It’s a very good sign that he/she flops when you’ve adopted them so recently. Light-coloured rabbits can look very messy when eating as well: if you’ve ever seen a bunny eating a raspberyy you’ll know what I’m talking about 😉
