  so i have a newer bun. maybe a month. she was a rescue. she is unfixed. extremely docile. i can pet her and pick her up no problem. so we let her run around the house. but she digs when ever shes near us. there is a system. 5 digs, and then she will grab it with her teeth and tug. if shes determined, she will tug with all her force. like shes trying to rip it up. it can be the couch, it can be the rug, it can be pants which are ontop of skin. and the skin gets bit.
  i read that this is a dominance thing. and the way to correct it is to push down on there head and hold for a few moments. or thump and turn my back on her. this seems to scare her when i turn away. she will start crawling on me trying to get my attention.
  now i have even taking to mimicking what she does to other buns. i will push her head down with my own, and then put my head under hers, as though i am expecting to be groomed. not sure this does anything though…

  This is normal. It could be attention-seeking too. Bunnies will dig at things for a number of reasons, really. Getting her spayed is a good idea. If the behavior is hormone-driven, then spaying would help. It isn’t a cure-all though since bunnies do like to dig. It’s a bunny thing. Even though getting her spayed may not stop the digging 100%, it is still a good idea for health reasons. So I do encourage you to look into it.

  Mine dug up to five months post spay. she has since ceased that behavior, thankfully
  
  I just put a thick blanket over the couch where she loved to do so and let her have at it.
  
  However just now in the kitchen she dug at my foot because I was making their salad and she wanted to taste test !
