        Hey!

So Nox got spayed about 2 weeks ago and since her surgery she has been a digging machine!! I mean she digs 24/7 to the point I can’t sleep from the sounds of her crazy digging in her cage. I had to move her cage into the bathroom and close the door in order to get any sleep. She didn’t dig like this before her surgery. Any ideas why she started digging so much and if she will ever stop!? Or at least calm down about it.

        Thanks!

Well all bunnies like to dig as it’s part if their natural behaviour but if it’s constant, perhaps she’s frustrated about something? It can take a while for hormones to die down and some rabbits even experience a hormone surge after surgery so perhaps her hormones are driving her a little crazy.

Or, it could be nothing to do with hormones. How often is she allowed out of her cage? How big is it? Is there anything to mentally stimulate her?

Are you keeping her confined in a smaller space than she is used to? She prob wants to get out… LOL
I have one digger (male) and one non diggier (female)
Can you give her a cardboard box filled with rolled up pièces of paper in to act as a digbox – it may satisfy her digging needs

She is free range except when I am sleeping. And she has a cardboard dig box that she does dig in sometimes.
