this might seem like the silliest question ever, but is it normal for 2 bunnies to have different eating styles/speeds?

my bunny flapjack is a giant piggy. he races around his cage in the morning when i get up for his pellets, and he practically knocks the bowl out of my hand to get to them. he also happily takes any fruit/veg/treat from my hand and gobbles it up instantly. he’s also 7-8 months old and 3~ish lbs, if that makes a difference.

my newer bunny, maple, is a slower eater. (if you looked at my other threads, she is eating pretty well now though!) i haven’t been giving her pellets because i was worried about her not getting enough long grain fiber + she has really small poops, so she’s just on a hay+water diet with a handful of veg daily/every other day. anyway, she doesn’t seem as excited about food; she eats her hay but rather slowly, and if i give her a treat she’ll set down the treat, take a bite, munch away, then take another bite, etc…and then leave some for later. (the treats i give are the carrot and dill oxbow treats, not very often though). she also eats her veg a lot more slowly. she’s over 1 year old (i can’t remember exactly) and is 4~ish lbs. she was also spayed around 2 weeks ago, if it makes a difference.

i would assume this is normal, just like how people have different eating styles/speeds, but maybe it’s something i should be concerned about?! (i’m also a giant worrywart so that doesn’t help )

Oh, absolutely. My Peanut is much calmer when eating pellets but Buttercup acts like she hasn’t been fed in years! I hand feed Peanut and scatter Buttercup’s. As long as they both eat what they should, I wouldn’t worry!
