Hello!
I’ve already posted a few times, but I figured I should come here and introduce myself before it’s too late
I just got Daphne, 7 wks old, this past Wednesday so we’ve been together for just a few days. She’s a very active little bunny, and is slowing getting more and more comfortable with me. I’m currently about halfway through medical school, so Daphne already is making my life a little brighter after putting in long hours at school studying. I grew up with a Dutch rabbit, Frisky, when I was in grade school, but as I was so young, I’m not sure I was the best at raising a bunny back then.
I’m sure I’ll be posting a lot more questions as I navigate litter training, puberty, and spaying in a few months.
Hello there, your bunny is freaking adorable
. And you’re right, bunnies do just make your life that much brighter.
I’m excited to see somebody else in medical school; I’m finishing up my last month of undergrad right now, and will be heading to medical school myself in the fall. I know it’s probably going to be pretty miserable, but I can’t wait! Do you know what field you want to pursue? The people at the shelter where I adopted my most recent bunny told me that a surprisingly large portion of people that come around looking to adopt are in the medical field; I thought that was pretty interesting.
Welcome to the forums
.
I’m assuming it can get lonely.. and .. that .. rabbits are good listeners and are willing to put up with our babble with medical stuff
Welcome!!!!!!!!
You have a Nethie, right? *shifty eyes*

Congrats on med school!! (and graduating from college – but seriously, please enjoy your last month of undergrad!! oh, how I miss it). I’m not really sure what I’m going to go into – maybe peds or ob? I’m looking forward to starting rotations this summer so I can finally see what being a doctor is really about (rumor is that it has little to do with sitting in a lecture hall, haha). And med school isn’t miserable (well, around exams it is), and you’ll meet some really awesome people and have cool opportunities to travel and provide healthcare, etc. I’ve had a fun two years so far ![]()

Yup, a fuzzball of a Nethie is what I was told. It’s time for me to finally leave school for the night and go play with her for a little bit before bed. Kinda excited, haha
Watch out for HER. Females tend to be very full of demanding divaliciousness ![]()
Thanks! I haven’t had the motivation to do an ounce of academic work since I was accepted in November (the TX medical schools work on a slightly different schedule from AMCAS)…definitely getting more than my share of relaxation in, hehe! I hope I find my motivation back in time to pull those long library hours you’re going through, in preparation for Step 1 and whatnot. At this point I’m really not sure what I want to do either, but I figure I have a few more years to decide while I sit around in the lecture halls, what fun!
Do post more pictures of Daphne, she’s absolutely precious!
As requested, some shots of Daphne ![]()
I personally love the one of her patiently waiting outside my roommate’s door in the morning, wanting to play, haha. Also, the one where she’s trying to learn about the reproductive system with me (makes sense, her being a bunny…they do have a bit of a reputation)

Welcome! Daphne is super-CUTE!! I love looking at her. Nice place she has/you have, too, by the way!
What a little doll! I just love her! Welcome to you both.
OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!
Ooo she is so cute!! Welcome!!

I loooove her little white nose! Does she have white anywhere else?
Gorgeous! I have a special spot in my heart for those buns that are dark charcoal gray!
(My Meadow is actually more of a charcoal, altho she looks black and white in pics!)
OMG, MarkBun – hilarious! I’m going to have to print that one out and tease my roomie about it!
PeppyPoo – she’s got a tiny patch of white on her chest too, that I’m hoping sticks around as it’s adorable
Beka27 – I love the charcoal grey! That was my only request when I was asked if I wanted a bunny, there’s just something so cute about those grey buns
Everyone else – Thanks! She’s a cutie, although I think she’s beginning to develop some diva tendencies, haha. Can’t wait til she hits puberty, oh boy…
She will develop into a diva. She is small, knows she is pretty, and demands a crown… little ones turn into the biggest diva. Take it from a fellow mommy to a Nethie girl…
No joke either ![]()
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG WHAT A CUTIE LITTLE BUN!!!!! SQUUEEEEEEEE>>>>IMMA STEAL HER
