dang wabbit!

i’m trying to put together a fun / ever-so-slightly-educational rabbit video for my 4yr nephew and 2yr old niece.  they are mesmerized by my bunny and seem to want to watch endless clips of her on my camera so i thought it’d be fun to string them together into a wee movie put to music.  i want to have sections called “play time” “cuddles” “feeding” and “cleaning”.    they think poop is hysterical right now – what a fun age lol – so there may even be a special bunny poop section.  i thought that it’d be good to show how i look after her too.  not a step-by-step guide but just a bit to show that there is work involved.

anyways… every morning while i get ready i can see pinky joyfully binkying around (her room is across from the bathroom) and i think ‘that would be great footage for the video’.   then the minute i have a camera in my hand… nothing.  she just stares at me.  little brat. 

any bunny nudges of encouragment to coax pinky out of her camera-shyness greatly appreciated

That is such a great idea! and it’s so nice that they’re having fun learning about bunnies ^_^ I just follow Sophie around to film her and she doesn’t seem to care O_o she thinks she’s a popstar, and that she’s meant to be photographed and filmed LOL although I’ve been wanting to get a picture of her flopped, but now she sleeps under my bed so no chance of that

Great idea! You’re going to have to get wily by the sounds, to capture the morning binkies. What about if you leave a tap running or hair dryer on so she thinks your busy – and secretly whip out the camera?

Hogeeze, I wish I had an answer for this one. I’d get my own bunnies if so.
Does your camera have a tripod? Can you just leave it somewhere conveniently nearby (but out of toofy range) so you can catch her unawares?

i was semi-successful this morning but the dog was in the way mostly. i figured out that she gets most happy when the dog is there so i may just have to get lucky. i don’t have a tripod but wonder if i can mc guiver something… hmmm… *scratches head in deep thought*

thinking mischiviously…… try turning it on and putting it infront or her.. you could get some good footage of her walking up to it and sniffing it plus she’lll be more familiar with it next time you whip it out

good idea mirbear! i’ve taken vids of her eating and she does like to sidle up and sniff the camera. i’ll try setting it on the floor recording, walk away and see what i get
