I have an 8 month old Mini Rex rabbit. She has a damp spot under one of her nostrils. This happened back in December also, and I took her and her sister in to the vet, and they were put on antibiotics for 7 days as a preventative measure. There is no behavior change. She runs, plays, nibbles, eats, drinks, jumps, snuggles, and binkys like normal. Her poops are also normal. I hear no sneezing, and there is no eye discharge or raspy breath. I really try to keep their area clean, but they live to throw hay everywhere, which can get dusty. I use a paper bedding, so i don’t know if that would have significant dust. The discharge has no color and their feet and chins are clean. My question is whether I should be concerned and worried and take them to the vet again. Or just watch for changes I behavior. They hated the syringe medicine administration (and so did I), so if it’s not necessary, and they’re safe, I’m ok with waiting.

How damp is it? When it’s cold, sometimes bunnies will have condensation under their nostrils. It isn’t usual for Leopold to have a little dampness there in the winter, even though he is inside.
