So Finn is currently being treated for fur mites. Along with the mites it has given him a crusty runny eyes which he is also being treated for. He is on eye drops twice a day. I just wanted to know how to get the sticky dried crusts off of his fur? Its to short to cut with scissors and I need to get some baby scissors. Any tips?

Poor Finn Maybe dampen a soft wash cloth with some warm water?

When Wick had a URI that gave him more eye crustys than usual, I would manually shut his eye with one finger and use another to really swipe at the crusty. For more problematic ones, I’d dampen my finger a bit to get it loose. Typically if I jostled bad ones, Wick would get it off himself in the next hour or so.

My Cinni used to have chronic conjunctivitis so most of the times she had crusty eyes- I would use a warm wash close to get the crust off and my vet also recommended you can use like a saline solution for contact lenses to wipe the area with as it is safe for them but I found the warm wash cloth and snipping the fur with the baby scissors to be the most effective. Hope Finn is feeling better soon!

Thanks guys! I used warm water and used my finger in circuler motions to remove as much as i could. Then just clipped some hard bits away. He was quite happy to sit there and allow me to do this.

His also on drops to fix the issue as well as spot on for the mites!
