I’ve had my new bun for about 3 weeks now. I have hand fed it milk and as I got it when it was approx 2 weeks old. Despite that it just hasn’t seemed to come around. Bunny when free in a room will run around and hide mostly but will come up to us humans and smell us. Problem is, it wont let us touch it. it doesn’t have a problem with the hand approaching it slowly, it will sniff it and not mind it but when we go to touch it it takes off. 

I don’t think its afraid of us, just doesn’t want to be picked up as when the hand approaches slowly, palm facing up and the bunny is allowed to smell it has no fear, but from above palm facing down makes it most uncomfortable. 

Any ideas on how I can make bunny comfortable with the hand? we were picking it up to move it from in and out of the cage and it really hated that, so now we have built a ramp so it can get in and out on its own and will not pick it up anymore.

Try not to come from above, it’s what birds of prey do. You could try and hand-feed all pellets, so he learns that the hand is good and friendly.
He might have attachment-issues since he was abandoned so very young. Normally they of course grow up in close proximity to their siblings. I’m glad he has you now.
