Well…… Cotton has cataracts but they are very small and should not be affecting his vision. So I can explain away his actions those few times he slowly ran into stuff. I feel better. Otherwise he is in great shape.
The vet said it is hard to test a rabbits vision cuz they don’t blink. He should be able to see tho. Like me the cataracts are so small they aren’t affecting our vision.
Glad to know Cotton is in good shape.
Eating good running etc. here n there. Cotton saw a different vet. This vet asked what I feed him etc. Good questions.
I think we will ask for this vet when Cotton goes back again. The other vet he sees is too hyper. He is good tho. Oh and this vet asked how Cotton did with his lip and checked his lip. He was happy to hear it was cured. I told him yep it was vent disease. He said trust my instincts on that one. Sometimes we need to do that. I believe he knew the 2nd vet cured it.
This last vet we saw today I was going to go with vent disease and he was going to order penicillin but I chickened out. This was a few years back. He remembers me when I suggested that. When the first vet we had been seeing said no isn’t vent disease He said we need to follow our gut on that. Yes I should have stuck to my guns. Nothing else had worked. I think this vet respects me for that. Unfortunately I didn’t follow thru cuz the vet that had been seeing Cotton said no way and penicillin was very risky with rabbits. So I cancelled the penicillin. I regret that. You think the vets are right you know. Well its behind us now and Cotton is cured. Move on.
