Ever since I got Cotton when she was a baby she always liked to lick the outside of the glass of whatever I am drinking at night- I always use ice, so the moisture beads up on the outside. Monday night I had something different- Mountain Dew Voltage- and she actually took a sip and almost knocked the glass down to get into it. I thought it was that particular scent that attracted her- and Tue night I had a glass of Coke- same thing she jumped on the couch and went over to my glass on the end table and stuck her head in to take a sip. So I had put the glass in the kitchen since I don’t want her to spill it, deposit any rabbit hair in it- or even for that matter- drink it either.
So last night I had lemonade- but it was gone and only the ice cubes were left- she crammed her head in as far as she could to try to lick the ice cubes that still smelled like lemonade. So after a year of her only licking the outside of the glass and sniffing whatever it was I was drinking- she has decided to try anything sweet. What a monster! Not only does she not need the sugar- caffeine is not good for her either. I only let her lick the outside of the glass because she always ignored the contents in the past (except to sniff and dismiss). Now she tries to pull the glass towards her with her paws as I am moving it away.
