Cotton doesn’t like his present

I was at the pet store looking for rabbit Rx.  They dont’ carry it.   I saw some hammocks in the ferret section.  Can be used for buns too.  Decided to get one for Cotton. 

He has that plastic thing I made for him to lay on.  Like a shelf. 

Do you know he doesn’t like the nice soft hammock.    He wants that hard thing.  

I kept the bag it came in and now I can’t find it.  I am going to return i whenever I find it. t.  I put it in the hay container.  It isn’t there now. I looked all over.

Then I had taken his plastic shelf and got the zip ties.  I ws going to put the plastic one back in.  Then I saw Cotton on the new one looking outside his cage.    I can tell he doesn’t like it cuz I saw it shaking as he tried to keep his balance.  He doesn’t sleep on it or anything he just ignores it except for those 2 x he got on it.

Then I couldn’t find the zip ties and I just had them.  I looked in the drawer I keep it in.  Nowhere to be found.

I wonder if I should leave it for a few more days to see if he will begin to like it.  I put a plastic piece in the flap to help it be more steady for him.

He is chewing my kleenex box.  He been after that thing for a whle now.  When it was empty of tissue I gave it to Cotton.   He is having a grand ol time with it.

OH and I finally found the zip ties on the floor in front of the cabinet thing under the chair.  pfft.

Some bunnies get freaked out easily over hammocks. Sometimes they feel trapped when they go in them, then struggle. This may make them either fall out or hurt their back. I was told if I got (I would probably make it) Nava a hammock that it should be wide enough so she doesnt have issues climbing in and out and it should be rather close to the floor.

Ps: I bought Nava a soft cuddle pillow when Domino passed, she hates it. Only time she goes on it is to pee because it’s soft so she thinks it’s a litter box. :/ Lol.

It’s disappointing when they reject a new toy, but if you can take it back and get your $ back I would do that. I think you have a hit with the kleenex box, so you could empty a couple of big ones and make a little maze group of them that he’d probably like.

foiund a solution.   i put his shelf back in.    then i wrapped the  hammock around it.     he feels steadier on it now so he is using it
