I was wondering what a typical cost of neutering a rabbit is, especially in my area.  I live just outside Seattle.  I’m starting to shop around to get Moonpaw neutered.  He isn’t having any behavioral issues or anything, he’s just 5 months old and I was figuring I should get it done.  There are a lot of clinics in my area and I’ve only called up a couple so far, but the ones I could get a hold of quoted me $150.  Is that a typical cost of neutering a rabbit?  If it is I’ll pay, but I was hoping there were cheaper options.

          Hi!
I can’t speak for your area exactly, but when I got Paisley spayed it was about $270 for the procedure itself. I called about 10 clinics to get their quotes and usually neutering was around $200 and spaying was around the $300 mark. Although this is in Canadian dollars. Honestly, $150 sounds fairly reasonable. I could be wrong, but that’s my personal opinion! Just keep in mind, sometimes you may have to pay a little bit more to have a quality vet do it, and in the end that could end up saving you stress and money.
          Hope your search goes well!

Wick’s was $268 (neuter), and that vet was on the more pricey side, so $150 does sound reasonable, though I know some places have done cheaper.
