I know that sometimes bunnies pick up habits when bonded to a mate (George has started to rush food now she shares with 2 others, for example).
I’m wondering if anyone else’s buns have become more friendly when they’ve seen what their bunny friends are doing.
With Fred and George, Fred was very aloof/skittish until she saw George wanting strokes and then she wanted to be stroked just the same.
Charlie seemed to gain his confidence from George and Albus has been extremely skittish, even more so since we keep swooping him up and putting him in with the bully bun. But now he’s more settled with them, he’s clearly been thinking about wanting strokes because he would run close to us and then skitter away when the other two came up for strokes. This evening he made an attempt for a small amount of strokes and then just now I tried to get a picture of the three buns cuddling and all three charged up to me and demanded strokes. Albus was the last one out, so he climbed on top of Charlie and George to get them. He stayed for as long as Charlie stayed – until other mummy came and they ran to see if she had food (the assumption any time they see someone in the kitchen). It was very sweet.
Until now he’s ran away if we came within a few feet of him.
Just wondering if anyone else had had their bonded pair/plus tame themselves.
