Hello everyone! I am so glad to be a part of this forum finally! I have shopped from Binky Bunny and skimmed through the forums to research and answer all of my questions before I got my two bunnies. I brought home two lionhead babies from the same litter (they are brothers) on June 2nd so they have been with us for a few days. We named them Cookie and Cream after my favorite ice cream flavor! Cookie is a brown tort lionhead bunny, and Cream is a red eyed white lionhead bunny and they are absolutely adorable. They are 8 weeks old. I am planning to house them separately as soon as they are 12 weeks old just until they are neutered because I don’t want their hormones to ruin their relationship; they are sooo good to each other! Any chance they get, they will cuddle right up against each other and groom each others faces. They are so much fun to observe!

Cookie is brave, adventurous. and sweet. He was all over everything the second he got into his cage, he isn’t afraid of anything! He’s also very sweet, he lets us pet him and he warmed up to us rather fast! Cream is shy, curious, and calm; we were concerned about him because he wasn’t as energetic as Cookie when he first got home, he just sat there still. We tried encouraged him to move and eventually we learned that Cream is timid and likes to take his time to do things. While Cookie was hopping around, Cream was observing, and slowly copying his brother. Now they are both happy and like to run around doing cute little binkies.

                      Oh. My. Goodness.
That was my initial thought when I opened this thread. How is it even possible to be so cute??? I’m gasping for air!

Very welcome to the forums, btw =)

I believe Cream hiding in the tomato and Cookie in the background would make a good Caption photo !!!!

                        “…..8 , 9 , 10 !! OK Cream, I’m coming ready or not – Now WHERE can he be….? Not up here ……. “

It’s a strawberry, Vienna! (Or is it a strawberry?Surely strawberries have dark specks, not white?)

I totally agree though. It’s one for the Caption thread: caption that bunneh

Congratulations on the new bunnies! If I were you though, I wouldn’t seperate them unless they started fighting since you might have to rebond them after (unless you neuter them right away).

Thank you all for being so welcoming! I love that caption idea! About separating them, I’m really not sure honesty.. I myself think it would be a bit harsh to separate them because they are always together! But there are a lot of stories of how male rabbits start fighting as soon as they hit puberty.. I kind of want to prevent them from fighting? I was thinking about separating them before the fighting starts so they don’t have a terrible experience and never like each other again.(their cages would be next to each other so they can see each other at least.) I also want to neuter them but there aren’t many rabbit savvy vets in my area so I am sooo paranoid about it because I hear that some bunnies pass away from the anesthesia. All of the places that neuter rabbits in my area recommend us to bring them at 6 months so it could be be as successful as possible. Me, being a first time bunny owner, and falling in love with these bunnies more every day, just don’t want to risk it! I’m willing to wait as long as I have to for them to be neutered successfully. Do you guys think that is okay?

Bam & Vienna: Since tomatoes and strawberries are from the same fruit family, does it really matter?

P.S. Bunny butt alert! (Hint: Cream)

Q8 – oh Q8 ! You undermine the utter importance in the British tennis calendar of Wimbledon traditions !
I’ve never yet had “tomatoes and icecream” or “tomato jam on my scones”…. nor have I have hot “strawberry soup” to warm me in the cold winter months…..

Oh YES Q8 – it matters wholeheartedly !!!! LOL

PS : I think it may well be a strawberry with bits of sugar on it….
