        Hi,

I’m sorry for only posting when I need help. At breakfast this morning my rabbit ran into my leg quite hard (he does a lot of zoomies at food time and I guess we coordinated our dance badly today). Hard enough that it hurt me, though it didn’t bruise. He was fine immediately after, carried on zooming, did some digging etc. This afternoon he seems quieter than usual – he’s still eating, he let me poke and prod at him all over without pain, his balance and mobility are fine and his eyes are tracking movement fine. I’ve also checked his incisors in case one of those broke but they’re okay. So the only difference is that he’s sleepier than usual, though I can rouse him just fine by tickling him or shaking his food.

Are there any other signs of concussion or head trauma that I could check for?  He finds vet visits and anything that’s not part of his routine excessively stressful, I think due to trauma before I rescued him, so if he’s just got a bit of a headache it’d be better to keep him at home to rest, like with mild concussion in humans.

(He’s just started eating some caecos so that’s all working too.)

I’m sure I’m just being neurotic after losing my other two buns this summer and he’ll be fine….you know what it’s like to worry about the slightest thing, though. Thanks

Okay, never mind, he’s brightened up quite a bit now it’s dark outside. It also occurred to me that he might be being quiet because I’ve had to pick him up a few times lately to inspect his heels and put cream on them since I noticed he’s developed sore hocks D: I feel like a terrible rabbit human

            Glad he’s better
