Yeah I know I haven’t been around in a while. I’m still here, we just moved to a new town so I’m trying to get out and explore. I also want to spend more time with my buns…
I just got the clicker training book! I’m excited to use it because it will provide some human-bunny interaction and also help keep them stimulated. The one thing the book doesn’t really address is how to go about clicker training a bonded pair.
[Background: my two bunnies, Arduina and Leo, live together in one room of the house (no pen, just a gate at the door of the room). The room is 11×15 and they don’t get to come out because the apartment is all carpeted (I bought a bunch of rugs to line their room with) and they love to chew/dig if they do come out.]
So the book says its best to start with one rabbit at time, but my Leo (rescue bun) is very shy and insecure, especially when Arduina is not around. I also ultimately want to be able to train or interact with them when they are together. I heard there are clickers with two sounds (or get two different brands), is this a good solution for just starting out? Or is it more advanced (I don’t want to confuse them)? Either way, the training will have to take place in their room, the choice is to: lock one in the bathroom or use two different sounds one for each bunny. Just wondering how I should start out with the training…
Here’s their room at our new place (when we first moved in, bun house isn’t even set up when this was taken):

Here they are snuggling (Leo is on the Left, Arduina on the right)
