Hi everyone! I have recently adopted a 10 year old rabbit from an older woman that was unable to care for him anymore. When I took him out to say hi yesterday, I noticed a very cloudy and white disc covering his pupil. His other eye seemed to be a little oozy. I immediately suspected it to be cataracts seeing as he is older and I don’t think he had the best diet. I have spent some time doing research on possible causes and treatment and I am now thinking I should take him to the vet to get it checked out to make sure it isn’t E. cuniculi or anything more serious. I suspect they have just developed due to old age, and if that is the case, I am inclined to hold off on any type of surgical procedure to have <g class="gr_ gr_404 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-del replaceWithoutSep" id="404" data-gr-id="404">the cataracts</g> removed due to the cost (which I have heard can be pretty steep) and the invasive nature of any surgery. However, I don't want to make a decision that could jeopardize his health and happiness and I would be interested in hearing the opinions and suggestions of anyone else! Thanks!</p>
