Goodness I hope this posts…I’ve tried 3 other times and none will post…
        !

Anyway, I was wondering if cat grass, which I saw in the local pet food store, sitting in a box with grown green grass, was OK for buns to chew on?

What does it say it is on the box (besides cat grass) I know someone on here fed her buns ‘wheat grass’ which was in a bowl like cat grass…

hmm – well cat grass is sometimes the same thing as wheatgrass. Wheatgrass is just fine for bunnies. I don’t think catnip would be a good choice though.

It was me with the wheat grass. I would look at the side of the container, most of the time it will tell you what kind of grass it actually contains. Sometimes cat grass is wheat grass and sometimes it isn’t. If you are looking for a way to give your buns fresh grass, you could always consider buying a few containers and just getting some seeds and planting them. In my experience, most of the time when you get a thing of cat grass from the store, the grass is extremely root bound and doesn’t really survive for more then a week. If you plant your own, it lasts much better.
