So for folks that helped earlier when I was preparing for the 8 hour drive home with Ru, thanks! The ride was long, but he got through it fairly well. He would eat and poop at the rest stops and even though he was nervous when the car was moving he would hop around or flop down and let me pet him.
Now, we get to do the whole thing overagain come January 18th but with a new catch. See, Ru is scheduled to get nuetered on the 7th. I found a really wonderful rabbit vet out of Portland (She was so sweet yet firm, and really seemed to know her stuff and care for Ru) so I am pretty confident that everything will go well but my fingers are still crossed of course. Anyway, as a male rabbit, would Ru be healthy enough to travel by this time under the assumption that there are no medical complications?
Also, I’m bringing home his other cage and origonally I was going to let him travel in that, but since he would have just had surgury, would it be better to have him in the cat carrier on my lap? So that he’s not running around with so much space.
Thanks all!
