        Hi,
So I have been a rabbit owner for over 10 years. I rescued a house rabbit last year. She is a large spayed doe and is 15lbs. We tried bonding her with a few males at the society but she was aggressive. I’ve had her for about a year now and she is the only bunny but I have a dog too and they get along.

Anyway, I found a rabbit listed online for free. It was listed as a large neutered male. He was being held up by the scruff in the photo and was dirty. I got him tonight and it was dark so I couldn’t really see. They said he lived in a basement with cats. Anyway I get him home and I am 90% certain he is a she. She is also infested with fleas. I’m going to get her in to see the vet and start treating her. I don’t even know if she is spayed.

After she is healthy is there any hope of bonding her to my female? Can two female bunnies get along?
        Thanks

If both are spayed, absolutely. Sex really doesn’t matter when bonding. Females are often more aggressive than males but that shouldn’t be too much of an issue if you pre bond for a sufficient amount of time

Yes two females can get along. While Male/ female pairs are generally considered easier, that doesn’t mean that two same sex bunnies can’t be bonded, or that all opposite sex bunnies will. Bonding is more about personality than gender.

Pictured; two unspayed females getting along.  One may be possessed.
