Is untreated grass okay for bunnies to eat? I know sometimes it makes their poop wet, but is it safe?

I’ve heard of people giving untreated grass before. I think the major factor is just knowing for a FACT that it is not treated. Otherwise, it’s just like hay before the extra steps

My six buns spend around 10 hrs a day outside grazing on grass in the back garden throughout the summer, no poop issues from it. as with any new food, introduce it slowly.

Keep an eye out to make sure there are no toxic plants where your rabbits are grazing. Matter of fact, I’ve heard tell of folks growing special patches of grass and rabbit-suitable plants for their buns to nosh on when they’re outside.

P.S. 8/23 Just be sure not to make yard grass a substitute for proper hay, since the former likely won’t have nearly as much fiber as the latter.

Be careful what you feed your rabbit. I have heard that some grasses contain toxins but I cannot provide a reference to that but you should investigate that. Definitely introduce is slowly.
